The basics

What is Preacher Prep? A quiet workspace for preachers: catch thoughts, quotes, illustrations and verses all week — with scripture detected automatically — then shape them into your message. It runs on iPhone, Android, and the web at app.preacherprep.io, all sharing one account.

Is there a free plan? Yes, forever — unlimited notes, Preps, search, and scripture detection. Pro adds the commentary library, AI Assist, outline export, and bulk import. See pricing.

Your privacy & data

Is my data private? Yes. Your library is yours. We never sell your data, and each preacher's notes and Preps are visible only to them — even on a Team plan, where church admins manage billing but never see anyone's library.

How are my passwords kept secure? Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). Passwords are hashed and salted before storage — we never see or store your actual password, and everything travels over encrypted HTTPS. You can also sign in with a passwordless magic link, so there's no password to remember or expose.

If you had a data breach, would my password be exposed? No. We never hold passwords in a readable form — only a salted hash, which can't be turned back into your password. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is locked down so each account can only reach its own data. The keys capable of reading across accounts live only on our servers, never in the app.

Do you offer two-factor authentication (2FA)? Not at the moment. Preacher Prep holds prep notes rather than financial or health data, and passwordless magic-link sign-in already removes the most common password risks. We may add optional 2FA in future; if strong account security matters to you today, use the magic-link option.

AI Assist

What happens to what I put into AI Assist? When you ask AI Assist for prompts, the relevant text is sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate them, and the result comes back to you. That's it.

Is my content used to train AI models? No. Anthropic does not train its models on what's sent through its API, and holds it only briefly for safety monitoring before deleting it.

Do you keep what I send to the AI? We don't store or log the text you send, or the prompt behind it. Only the suggestions AI Assist gives back are saved — into your own private Prep, for you to use later.

Does AI Assist write it for me? No. It surfaces the threads in your own notes, draws insight from the commentaries, and asks a few sharp questions. The message always stays yours.

Your account

Can I delete my account and everything in it? Yes, anytime — Profile → Delete account in the app, or see the steps on our support page. Deletion is permanent.

How do I cancel my subscription? Manage or cancel anytime — details are on the support page. You keep everything you captured on the Free plan.
